Husn Ara Kaun is a beautifully crafted sequel to the powerful mini-series Husna Aur Husn Ara which is remembered for its realistic characters, sensitive treatment and soulful music.
The story of Husn Ara Kaun begins from the day she boards a train after leaving Sufi Sahib’s home in search of a new life.
On the train she meets Saeeda Amman who, upon disembarking at Multan, takes her to Malik Jahandad’s haveli where Husn Ara is employed as a maid for the Malik’s second wife Rukhsana. Soon Husn Ara realizes that the haveli is a hotbed of intrigue and the barbaric traditions of a feudal mindset rule the lives of its inmates. Even the Malik’s first wife Zeenat and his young sister Bakhtawar are not exempt from this harsh, discriminatory attitude.
Having experienced this exploitation herself, Husn Ara realizes that to challenge the law of the jungle, she must first tame the lion----Malik Jahandad.
She then sets out to use her beauty and charms to find an escape route for these women who, like many others in the Saraiki belt, have been shackled to inhuman beliefs and practices for centuries. By doing this she is hopeful that other women of the area will also gather courage to stand up against the oppression and atrocities they are forced to endure.
In the process she herself falls hopelessly in love with a man she dare not marry. A shocking revelation by Saeeda Amman in the end brings an electrifying climax that is absolutely worth waiting for.

As the name suggests, this is a contemporary look at youngsters in Pakistan today. The story revolves around Aleena a feisty young girl who has the world wrapped around her finger and who is adept at attracting men and dropping them with equal ease. With her selfish, manipulative attitude, she always comes out as the winner no matter what the situation is.
As the story unfolds, we follow her journey from RJ to VJ , enjoy her encounters with the people who cross her path and laugh at the casual banter between youngsters who now have a vocabulary and lifestyle of their own.
An infusion of black comedy combined with the energy of fresh talent makes this very realistic story a must-watch for soap viewers. With her selfish, manipulative attitude, she always comes out as the winner no matter what the situation is.

An aggressive, anxiety prone mother and a passive, meek father are parents to three completely different children: the submissive Shaista, the headstrong Fizza and the awkward Amir.
The story revolves predominantly around Shaista who, after being widowed, now has to deal with a family obsessed with her remarriage to the first suitable man.
Traumatized and embittered, she is meanwhile trying to forget her past in order to build her new future on her own. Having a soft and gentle disposition and a strong maternal instinct, she manages her siblings lovingly, playing the role of confidante and care-giver.
The exact opposite of Shaista is the fiery and feisty Fizza who is adamant on remaining a tomboy while maintaining her own moral high ground.
The third protagonist is their brother Amir who is thoroughly dominated by his mother and displays the awkwardness of a pubescent, introverted teenager despite being way past that phase.
These 3 characters steer the soap forward and carry us on a roller coaster ride of emotions across parallel worlds.
While Shaista Shaista is an enormously entertaining soap and has hi-tension drama, it highlights the impact of emotional blackmail and undue family pressure that, if unchecked, can destroy many lives.
